Given that Gateway doesn't sell or support it any more, then I guess I'm not surprised that Vista doesn't either. It's certainly possible that the final release will offer that support, I read the other day that Gateway had gotten out of the MP3 player business and dropped support for their other devices.

I read the other day that Gateway had gotten out of the MP3 player business and dropped support for their other devices. WMP 11 in Vista RC1 or Beta does not recognize my Gateway DMP-X20 MP3 player to sync my music. Vista recognizes the hard drive as just a USB hard drive but I cannot sync my music via WMP11.
